Sales Representative – Automotive Parts Specialist

Role Definition & Performance Expectations
This is a PROACTIVE SALES position, not a traditional Counter Sales role. Please acknowledge your understanding of the following operational requirements:

• Customer Acquisition: You are expected not to wait for customers to come to you; you are required to actively follow up on leads and hunt for customers via Facebook Marketplace, Groups, and WhatsApp Business.
• Lead Generation: Success in this role is measured by your ability convert digital and telephone inquiries into paid invoices, and to find new buyers.
• Outbound Communication: You will be expected to maintain a high volume of outbound telephone and digital communication to secure sales.
• Organisational Precision: You must remain organised in relation to managing several leads.

Core Responsibilities Sales & Marketing

• Technical Consulting: Use customer supplied information such as engine codes and OEM numbers to identify components with 100% accuracy.
• Customer Lifecycle Management: Handle the full process from initial query and quoting to taking orders, accepting payment, and ensuring after-sales satisfaction.
• Market Growth: Proactively "hunt" for new business via cold calling, online advertising, and repping for new customers while growing your product and local market knowledge.
• Digital Presence: Capture and watermark parts photos using photo editing software for professional social media marketing.

Operational & Compliance Duties

Consistency and teamwork are vital to our branch success. Your role includes:

• Performance Standards: Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets while adhering to all company policies, quality standards, and management directions.
• Support Functions: Assist with stock control (receiving and dispatch), store upkeep, and general administration to keep the branch operational.
• Inter-Branch Liaison: Coordinate with other branches and Head Office to fulfill national business requirements and stock obligations.
• Field Support: Perform occasional driving duties for deliveries or business errands if required.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric certificate with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics or Maths Lit.
• Experience: At least one of: Proven experience in motor parts knowledge OR professional sales experience.
• Licensing: Valid SA Driver’s License with a clean record (no outstanding fines).
• Physical: Able to handle automotive parts weighing between 1kg and 40kg.
• Character: Organised, neat, and able to work under high pressure while remaining goal-driven.
